The production of solar panels of the electronic equipment abolished panel and CIS type solar battery increases now. It will be thought that the discharge of the abolished panel becomes the vast quantity in future. The harmful metal such as a rare metal and Se, Sb, Pb, Tl such as In, Ga, Cu, Zn, the Mo is included in these waste, too. The recycling technology of such an abolished panel is important.

In this study, Trialkylphosphine (Cyanex 923), 2-ethylhexylphosporic acid and mono-2-ethylhexyl ether (PC88A) and di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) were used as the extractant for the solvent impregnated magnetic materials. Magnetic particle(MP) was made by cassette tape, video tape and so on. MP was not dissolved from 0 to 3.0 mol dm-3 concentration of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid. Extraction behavior of In and Ga on solvent impregnated resins were studied in hydrochloric acid media, sulfuric acid media and nitric acid media. MP-Cyanex 923 extracts 100% of In in a low hydrochloric acid concentration, however only approximately 0% of Ga extracts it. Only approximately 0% of In extracts, however 100% of Ga extracts in the high hydrochloric acid concentration (3 mol dm-3). Therefore, it was suggested that separation of In and the Ga was possible. In other words, separation of In and the Ga with the MP- Cyanex 923 which impregnated commercial extractant in a magnetic particle was possible.
