Song Zhai
Song Zhai is a PhD student in the group of Prof. Andreas Jupke at the Aachener Verfahrenstechnik – Fluid Process Engineering (AVT.FVT) since January 2022, focusing on technical liquid-liquid phase separation, modelling and monitoring of liquid-liquid gravity separators. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. As part of his studies, he spent one year abroad at Imperial College London, gaining international research experience in energy system modelling. He conducted his Master’s thesis in the group of Prof. Alexei Lapkin at the University of Cambridge, where he worked on CFD simulation for reaction engineering.
