Marco Wenzel
Dr Marco Wenzel graduated in 2003 in Chemical Engineering and moved to the TU Dresden, Germnay for a PhD in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof Gloe with focus on Coordination Chemistry / Anion Binding. During his PhD he joined research groups in the UK, Japan and Australia, followed by postdoctoral stays in New Zealand and the UK. Since 2014 he works as Senior Scientist with Prof Weigand at TU Dresden, Germany. Marco’s research activities focus on the design and synthesis of new receptors for the coordination of cations, anion and defined metal salts for selective binding and separation.
