Boren Tan International Solvent Extraction Conference 2025

Boren Tan

Tan Boren, associate professor, is affiliated with the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, working in Professor Wang Yong’s group. Specializing in efficient mineral resource separation, from fundamental research to industrial implementation. Conducting research on reaction/flow/transport mechanisms of extraction units (such as extraction columns and mixer-settlers) and separation process development of key metals (such as Li, Rb, Cs). Designed and developed 18 industrial extraction columns, including rubidium-cesium separation systems, gas-liquid-liquid three-phase CO₂ stripping units, and zirconium-hafnium extraction columns. Authored over 10 publications in SCI journals including AIChE Journal, Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, and Hydrometallurgy.
