Einat Shooster is a senior process development engineer and team leader with over 15 years of experience in the chemical industry, specializing in the development and scale-up of downstream processes for the extraction and purification of critical materials. Her expertise includes solvent extraction (SX), hydrometallurgy, and advanced separation techniques applied to metals such as copper, cobalt, nickel, manganese, lithium, and boron, as well as food- and battery-grade phosphoric acid and lactic acid.
She currently serves as Development Team Manager at Tenova Advanced Technologies (TAT), where she leads strategic R&D initiatives and guides a team of development engineers through mentoring and knowledge sharing. Her work spans hands-on process development, project execution, and ongoing improvement of SX equipment design to enhance performance and reliability. She also contributes to the company’s broader efforts to promote innovation and improve core processes.
Einat holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology Engineering (cum laude) from ORT Braude College and is completing her M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Her master’s thesis focuses on nanofiltration in phosphoric acid purification and recovery.
Her professional interests include process intensification, circular hydrometallurgy, the advancement of scalable, sustainable SX technologies, and the implementation of SX-based solutions in emerging industrial processes.
